Lynne Russell Ditches News For Real Estate and Lampshades

Growing up, we fondly remember CNN Headline News being an ever-present entity in our household. Lynne Russell and Chuck Roberts were essentially an extra pair of parents to us. Roberts could have easily passed as our own father's doppelgänger.

We see Roberts is still anchoring every day on HN, but we've always wondered what on earth ever happened to that red-haired maven Russell?

Turns out she's now an ex-pat selling real estate (!) in Toronto and making hand-made lampshades in her spare time! Yes, currently, you can buy a 3 bed/3 bath 2 story home from Lynne for $374K (Candaian, of course). Russell has always worn many hats. She's also a blackbelt in martial arts and, while anchoring HN, became a private detective. And on top of that, she's also opened a boutique store selling make-up, allowing millions of girls (and boys) everywhere to paint their face a la Ms. Russell.

It seemed that she may have had a familiar itch that needed to be scratched as Russell recently dipped her feet back into the newsworld with a short stint as a news reading for the CBC. But, says Russell crypticly, "it didn’t work out."
