Sam Donaldson Would Never Kiss and Tell

KNXV in Phoenix snagged an interview with Sam Donaldson wherein the newsman, who endearingly mispronounces the name of ubiquitous blogger Perez Hilton, says some introspective things about the state of news on the Internet.

"Everyone is a blogger. Everyone has something to say. Some people try to check the facts" while "others just...blather." He adds, "communication, now, is pervasive."

Most interestingly was his revelation on how he feels about Barbara Walters' new memoir, specifically her admission to a past affair with a married man. Donaldson believes her decision to include the salacious tidbit was clearly for business purposes. He says, very matter-of-factly; "she's selling books." But don't wait for the the ABC newsman to make any intimate confessions of his own.

"You know, I don't think I would do it. Those kind of things are sort of private to me. Now when I say I'm the 'old school,' Barbara's older than I am believe it or not, but even so, you don't kiss and tell."

Apparently, you do when you want to move stacks of books out of Barnes and Noble.
